After we finished the Bear's big-girl room, I wanted to put something on her door to make it even more special for the big reveal. I thought about a girly wreath or picture, and then I found instructions on The Idea Room on how to make one of those styrofoam and streamer flower ball things. I guess they're called "kissing balls." Here's how mine turned out.
I attached the ribbon to the top of her door with a thumb tack. I'm not sure if it will stay here, but she likes it. And, thankfully, for now, she can't reach it!
It's a good relatively mindless, though slightly time consuming project. I went through a lot of glue sticks! Crepe paper is inexpensive but styrofoam balls are a bit pricey. If you wait for a sale and/or use a coupon, they aren't too bad. (So when they were on sale, I stocked up with a few different sizes for future projects.) Stay tuned!
